Vi har nu fått reda på testresultaten från det senaste testet. Eftersom det förekommer otroligt mycket fusk på marknaden testar vi sjalarna regelbundet för att försäkra oss om att de inte håller ett enda uns konstigheter. Det är viktigt för konsumenten att veta om det här. Kashmir är dyrbart och ofta tjänar kashmirbönderna eller garnfabriker stora pengar på att späda ut med till exempel ull, viscos eller hår från andra djur. Vissa väverier köper tom in billigt garn och marknadsför det som äkta cashmere / pashmina.
Mycket av det som finns ute är inte äkta - det märker man först och främst på känslan och priset. Riktig cashmere känns som riktig cashmere. Konflikten fortsätter i Nepal
Som ni kanske vet har det den senaste tiden varit utegångsförbud och oroligheter i Nepal. Detta fick vi höra häromdan från vår fabriksdirektör i kathmandu:

Another protester killed in police firing in Sunsari; Madhes unrest enters day 15 One person was killed and six others were injured when police opened fired at a group of protesters for violating the curfew orders in Duhabi of Sunsari district, Wednesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Biskut Miya of Duhabi, according to police. Six others were also injured in the police firing during the curfew imposed since 8 am in the area by the local administration. Of them, Musuwa Miya and Bodh Narayan Paswan are said to be in a serious condition. Meanwhile, although it has been more than two weeks that life in terai has been crippled due to daily demonstrations and curfew, all efforts of the government to bring the situation there under control has failed. People in terai are reeling under immense shortage of daily essential items coupled with the restriction in their movement due to curfew orders. Taking into account the possibility of clashes, local administrations have imposed curfews in more places in terai and have extended it in places where it was already on. However, people in Lahan, Saptari and the highway area of Sunsari heaved some sigh of relief after curfew orders were lifted there in the morning. However, the curfew wasn't lifted in Parsa, Nawalparsi including few other districts even though it was relaxed for few hours Wednesday morning to let people buy essential goods. Things started to return to normalcy in Banke and Bardiya with market places opening for business and little vehicular traffic. The people in Bardiya had been defying the shutdown strike imposed there from the past few days. Sick and tired of the long-drawn strikes and the curfews imposed in the aftermath of violent demonstrations, people are starting to defy it to return to their normal lives. Similarly, life in the eastern hilly districts is normal despite the shutdown strike announced by the Federal Limbuwan Autonomous Council. nepalnews.com ag Feb 27 08
Usch, precis samma visa som förra året - Nepal behöver hjälp utifrån, verkligen! Landet har varit sargat i många år, och ändå hörs det nästan aldrig i de svenska medierna. Vad som behövs är verkligen mer utbildning. Många har inte koll på sina rättigheter, sedan när det blir maktkamp slutar det på samma sätt: nya regeringar med lika korrupta ministrar.
Det här gör att det är svårt att bedriva verksamhet i Nepal, men vi har beslutat oss för att stanna kvar. 60 personer får jobb pga av oss och det kan vi inte ta ifrån dem. Trots konflikterna levererar de i stort sett 95% av allt i tid, vilket är en verklig bedrift.
